Learning the World – Rain Boots

June 6, 2009 § 2 Comments

We recently received a box of clothes for the girls from some dear friends in Texas. In the box were some rain boots for Annelissa. She has been very excited for an opportunity to wear them. She got her shot yesterday as we had a thunderstorm in Portland. As with everything else, once she put the boots on she could not stop talking about them. When Vanessa put her in the car she said, “Oh! I hope my boots fit in my car seat!” They fit just fine.

Thursday we had thunderstorms here, pretty heavy actually. Lightning strikes caused one small brush fire across from the park we live in. It made us have to put sand bags and tie them to our corner post for the Cherry Festival Booth we have set up for the church. Our annual outreach, we pass out cold water bottles with amessage attatched about who we are and where we can be found. We have been doing it since our first days, September 2005, was our first service in the Brookside Elementary School. In July our construction on our new facility will be complete and we will start having services there. I have a classroom and small place to work out of. I’m still un-salaried, but God still meets our needs. WE just love hearing all that is going on in your lives. Dad & Cindy and Tinker Too.
